Sophia Begum

I am an emerging journalist with a strong interest in storytelling, culture, and people’s lived experiences. I began working in the industry at 19 and am especially drawn to listening deeply and translating real-life stories onto paper. I love bringing fashion stories to life, and being a blank canvas to help artists bring their vision to life.

What I Do

I’m a Singapore-based student studying Entertainment and Events, with hands-on experience working gig-based roles in the entertainment industry. I am seeking for a journalist role, in the near future, hoping to bring stories to life, hoping they impact a wide audience.

About Me

I’m a 21-year-old student studying Entertainment and Events, and I’ve been working in the entertainment industry since I was 19. I’m interested in listening to people’s lives and retelling their stories in a way that exposes culture, experience, and perspective, making them accessible and digestible for a wide audience.

I am interested in writing my own fashion feature articles in the future, particularly stories that explore identity, culture, and self-expression through style. While I am not yet there to write these pieces myself, I currently take part in fashion features as a subject, gaining first-hand experience of the editorial process and visual storytelling. These experiences continue to shape how I want to approach fashion journalism.
